Benedict Cumberbatch takes off fellow stars

The Imitation Game star Benedict Cumberbatch managed to impersonate 11 celebrities in one minute in a recent interview.

Benedict Cumberbatch has proved his impersonation kills are up to scratch, by taking off 11 celebs in just 60 seconds.

The Sherlock actor was challenged to mimic as many stars as possible in an interview with MTV to promote his new film The Imitation Game.

He managed to impersonate actors Michael Caine, Tom Hiddleston, Alan Rickman, Sean Connery, Christopher Walken, Matthew McConaughey, Owen Wilson, John Malkovitch and Jack Nicholson in a matter of seconds. He also pretended to be Dark Knight Rises baddie Bane and pop superstar Taylor Swift before his minute ran out.

Benedict jokingly plugged his new film when he was in character as the stars, with most of them saying how much they wanted to see it. When he impersonated Shake It Off singer Taylor he even burst into song and sang “See the Imitation Game” in a female voice.

Benedict, who recently got engaged to girlfriend Sophie Hunter, has shown off his impressions before, taking off Alan Rickman several times and also impersonating fellow Brit David Tennant.

The actor plays codebreaker Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, and there are suggestions he could make it onto the Oscars shortlist for the role.
