Kate Moss is going to be on TV this Christmas

The British model will appear in a BBC adaptation this year

Breaking Christmas telly news! Kate Moss will be starring in a festive BBC special this year.

And you thought the supermodel was all about fashion.

Kate Moss

The 40-year-old British style icon is set to appear in the BBC1 adaptation of David Walliams's children's book The Boy in the Dress.

As for the plot? A boy named Dennis buys a copy of Vogue magazine and turns up at school as 'Denise,' wearing a blue dress - because Walliams is all about the dress up, obviously.

While Kate's role is yet to be revealed, we've got a feeling she'll play some stylish playground pal who gives Denise the low-down on how to do top-to-toe blue right. Or be some bitchy-queen rival.

"We have put together a dream cast for this the first of my children's books and for many still my best," said Walliams of the BBC adaption.

"It is a funny and poignant story about what is is to be different. I hope it will make everyone who sees it, young and old, stop and think."

Excited, much?

Until then, let's look back at Kate doing 'Katie Pollard' on Little Britain back in 2009. You need to see this...

This brilliant Kate on TV news comes after she directed a fashion film for Voguemagazine's September issue.

Moss' film directing debut, titled 'The Wolf in Her', captured the stunning Lara Stone in a played back rural setting wearing an array of designer ensembles. Watch it here.
