Teresa Giudice isn’t the type of woman to let a little thing like a 15-month prison sentence for fraud keep her from throwing one hell of a party.
The 42-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star is about to leave her four children behind and face real consequences to her actions behind bars. But before she goes, she is planning on going out in style. Teresa will carry on with ahuge wine bash she has planned at an exclusive restaurant. The details will either make you cringe or say to yourself, well, of course she’s doing this – why the hell not?
As you may know, Teresa and husband Joe are the faces behind Fabellini wine. Before they serve prison sentences (Joe got 41 months, by the way, and is expected to start serving his sentence after his wife so that his children will be cared for in her absence), they are going to turn some serious profits by hawking their vino at Bibi’z Restaurant & Lounge on Oct. 8.
Not only will they sell wine – and lots of it, I imagine – they’re going to sign bottles and pose for photos with their fans and supporters.
Kind of icky? Maybe. If it were me, the last thing I’d want to do before being sent to prison is party like a rock star. I believe the depression and sadness I’d feel would prevent me from popping open corks amongst strangers.
But this is Teresa we’re talking about. She’s always the life of the party and a person who probably derives comfort from being around folks and calling in the caterers whenever one of her children loses a baby tooth. To her credit, she delivered a thoughtful statement after her sentencing, in which she admitted feeling blessed and “humbled.” She says she knows it’s time for her “wake up.”I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt to anyone who tries to learn from her mistakes.
There’s no reason why Teresa can’t enjoy the last of her days of freedom – in total Teresa style.
